its good climate and its cultural offerings. It is located along the
Mediterranean coast and has 4.5 km of beaches. The city has over 45
renowned museums and is famous for its unique contemporary
architecture and the famous works of architect Antoni Gaudí.

See Gaudi's Art Nouveau Cathedral, the 1992 Olympic complex, the
Gothic district, and you’ll have a chance to experience Barcelona's
famed shopping street La Ramblas and discover some of Spain's
specialties. Tonight why not experience the passion of Flamenco
dancing? (B)

We travel west
to Zaragoza and see the impressive and monumental cathedral that
this city is famous for-
Basilica de Nuestra Senora del Pilar.
Then a chance for lunch in this city of four cultures before we head
to Madrid! (B,D)
Day 5
Madrid
Madrid
is the largest city in Spain as well as its’ capital and is the
largest city in the Iberian peninsula. It is also the third most
populous city in the European Union after London and Berlin. Its
effect on world history and politics, as well as its major cultural
influence, has ranked Madrid one of the main global cities of the
world.
Our morning sightseeing
includes a guided tour of the Royal Palace. The rest of the day is
free for you to discover this amazing city. Perhaps see the Bullring
or visit the famous Prado Museum. Tonight, enjoy dinner with friends
from the group and a chance to try fabulous traditional Spanish
cuisine. (B)
Day 6
Madrid to Cordoba
Today begins
with a morning drive to Toledo, where we see the Gothic cathedral
and El Greco's house. We then head south across the plains of La
Mancha to Cordoba and into the heart of Andalusia. (B,D)

and free time in Cordoba this morning and then we travel to the host
city of the 1992 World Expo – Seville-

from the group. (B)
Day 8
Seville to Granada
Today we visit
Gibraltar, one of the most
densely populated territories in the world, with approximately
11,154 people per square mile. Gibraltar is a United Kingdom
overseas territory located near the southernmost tip of the Iberian
Peninsula, overlooking the Strait of Gibraltar. It has historically
been an important base for the British Armed Forces and is the site
of a British naval base. It is probably most famous for the
geological formation, the Rock of Gibraltar.
After visiting Gibraltar, we
travel east through the Sierra Nevada mountains to the town of
Granada which is steeped in Moorish history. (B,D)

Kings - the Alhambra Palace.
The Alhambra is an ancient mosque, palace and fortress complex of
the Moorish monarchs of Granada in southern Spain; it occupies a
hilly terrace on the south-eastern border of the city of Granada. It
was the residence of the Muslim kings of Granada and their court,
but is currently a museum exhibiting beautiful Islamic architecture.

also have a chance to visit the historic Albaicin district of this
city. Dinner with friends from the
group tonight-have you tried paella yet? (B)

party island of Ibiza! Here you’ll have the choice to either relax
on the island's beaches or party till dawn at one of the island's
many clubs. (B,D)
&
Day 12
Two days to enjoy the beach scene by day and the club
scene by night. This is your chance to soak up the atmosphere of
this Balearic Island. (B,D)(B,D)
Ibiza
is one of the Balearic Islands located in the Mediterranean Sea
belonging to Spain and is most famously known for its summer
parties, making it a very popular tourist destination, with
thousands of people flooding in for the big summer club nights.
The island is
not just known for its party scenes, though, as large portions of
the island are registered as U.N. World Heritage Sites, and so are
not as commercialized as the main cities. Also, because of its
purported natural beauty, companies and artists alike frequently use
the island for photographic and film shoots. Spectacular sites can
be seen from all over the island and this includes the wonderous Es
Vedra which is believed to be one of the worlds most magnetic
points.
