Come join us… on an exotic and fun vacation over the holiday week of Thanksgiving! Spend time learning about a fascinating new culture and lifestyle in Morocco and making new friends at the same time.  Spain
            We start in the Costa del Sol for a couple of nights to enjoy this Mediterranean area of Spain before we start our Moroccan adventure with lots of sightseeing such as a walking tour through “The Medina” in Fez, the Imperial Gardens and Bahia Palace in Marrakech and a walking tour to the famous Djamaa El Fna Square where we’ll see snake charmers, street musicians and folk dancers.  We’ll see the Royal Palace in the Moroccan capital of Rabat and one of the most impressive mausoleums in the world, Mausoleum Mohammed V.  Lots of sightseeing included, 15 meals, time to enjoy shopping, exploring, exotic Moroccan meals and drinks and, of course, the night life- all with other singles to enjoy it with!

Thurs.  Nov. 19             Depart USA.
Fly transatlantic overnight to Malaga and the Costa del Sol, Spain!

Fri. Nov. 20                  Arrive in Malaga and the Costa del Sol, Spain
             Welcome to Malaga and the Costa del Sol in So. Spain!   Transfer to our hotel in Torremolinos.  Depending on your flight arrival time, start exploring this coastal town on the Mediterranean Sea.  Early evening we’ll have a short welcome meeting and sangria to meet our social escort and other single travelers.  Then maybe dinner together or on your own with new friends and enjoy the local nightlife!   

Sat. Nov. 21                 Torremolinos-Costa del Sol
            After breakfast you are free to do your own thing in and around Torremolinos with others from the group or your social escort will coordinate a day trip for you if interested to the magnificent Alhambra and the Gardens of Generalife near Granada or maybe a day trip to the British- Rock of Gibraltar.  Lots to see and do in this area along the Costa del Sol! You can also walk or jog along its’ seafront promenade.
Dinner together or on your own with friends from the group. You might consider taking a taxi or bus to the little hillside village of Mijas for dinner, shopping, and beautiful views of the coastline.  (B)

Sun. Nov. 22                Torremolinos- Costa del Sol to Fez, Morocco              
After breakfast we depart along the Costa del Sol to Algeciras for the ferry trip across the Straits of Gibraltar to Ceuta or Tangier in north Africa. Pass immigration formalities and continue to exotic Fez, the 4th largest city in Morocco.
Dinner is included tonight together and then why not check out the local night life! (B,D)

MoroccoMon. Nov. 23                Fez
Enjoy your breakfast, then begins our sightseeing tour of Fez (1st Imperial city of Morocco from the 9th century). Also we’ll be taking a walking tour through "The Medina", declared Patrimony of Mankind by the UNESCO, and the second largest in the world, with its monuments, The Mosque Kariouine, The Medersa and the Old Universities.
In the afternoon we will have a panoramic tour of this city followed by some free time for shopping. Dinner is again together tonight. Then maybe enjoy some local entertainment…your guide can assist you with ideas for the group. (CB,D)

Tues. Nov. 24               Fez-Marrakech
Today we depart to Beni-Mellah for lunch on your own, and then we continue on to Marrakech, the 3rd largest city in Morocco, which is a city like many in the middle east-it has both an old fortified city (the medina) and a modern city (called Gueliz). It has the largest traditional market (souk) in Morocco and also has one of the busiest squares in Africa and the world-Djamaa El Fna. Dinner together tonight. (CB,D)

Wed. Nov. 25                Marrakech
            Today after breakfast, we enjoy a panoramic coach tour followed by a cultural sightseeing tour of this city (also called " the red city, due to the colour of the buildings,); our visit will include The Menara Imperial Gardens, Saadiens Tombs (16th century), Bahia Palace (19th century), The Koutoubia Mosque, the Jewish Quarter and spices market.
After lunch, time for shopping and a walking tour through the famous Djamaa El Fna Square, where we can easily find snake charmers, street musicians & folk dancers in this vibrant square. (CB,D) 

Thurs. Nov. 26               Marrakech-Casablanca-Rabat 
            We depart for Casablanca this morning, the financial capital of the country. On arrival we’ll have a panoramic city tour to get you aqauainted, and we’ll also stop for an optional visit to the great Mosque Hassan II, one of the most fascinating buildings in the world.
In the afternoon we head to Rabat, the capital of Morocco, located on the Atlantic Ocean.  (CB,D)

Fri. Nov. 27                 Rabat-Tangier
After breakfast, our visit in Rabat, the Moroccan capital, begins with a sightseeing tour of this city including a stop at the Royal Palace, Residential Area and one of the most impressive mausoleums in the world, Mausoleum Mohammed V (the reigning Monarch´s late grandfather).  Also we will visit the old mosque in ruins, Tour Hassan (12th century).
After our included sightseeing we depart for Tangier, stopping for lunch on our own in Larache, before continuing on.  On arrival into Tangier, we have a panoramic tour of the city.
Enjoy dinner together tonight and toast your last night in exotic Morocco! (CB,D)

Sat. Nov. 28               Tangier-Costa del Sol
After breakfast, board the ferry at Tangier or Ceuta to Algeciras, returning us to Costa del Sol.
Rest of the day is at leisure in Torremolinos to do any last minute sightseeing or shopping.  Maybe another farewell dinner together to celebrate with your new friends and great vacation. (CB)

Sun. Nov 29              Torremolinos-Costa del Sol
            Yes, it is time to go home.  We will coordinate your transfers to the airport if you’d like, to save on your transfers where applicable.  Your flight from Malaga has you arriving home the same day. (B)

Optionals-for your free day, Sat., Nov. 21, in Torremolinos, we’ll be offering a couple of choices later.
Airfare is additional and you need to fly into and out of Malaga, Spain.   We can help coordinate flights together for you or you can use your ff miles or check online for some great airfares.
Airport transfers are not included but Malaga airport is only a very short distance from Torremolinos, about 15 miles.  We will try and coordinate flights and transfer times together on both the arrival and departure transfers. Taking the train is the least expensive but taxis aren’t too expensive either. For those on the same flights we will have you get in touch with each other prior to the trip.   
Travel Insurance is highly recommended. A brochure will be sent to you for coverage.  
Price does not include- items of a personal nature, meals not included in above itinerary, phone calls, tips and gratuities to driver and guides.
Immunizations- not needed for Spain but check with your medical doctor or travel medicine clinic for any recommended immunizations for travel to Morocco and to make sure your immunizations are up-to-date.
Passport - a current U.S. passport is required for travel. Non-U.S. citizens please consult with your local consulate for any needed passports or visas for entry into Spain and Morocco.
This trip is for the active single who likes to ‘get out and about’ and involves a lot of walking and walking tours, and walking on some uneven pavements may be experienced.

Fine Print – So. Spain & Morocco- November 19-29, 2009
Your payment for a reservation on this trip constitutes consent and acknowledgement of all the provisions in this Fine Print listed below and in the Singles Travel Company General Terms and Conditions. Please make sure you read both of these important pieces of information and call us with any questionsHotels are subject to change per our tour operator. This a holiday trip-deposits due earlier.
Payments Deposits are $200.00. Checks (payable to Travel Advisors) or credit cards.
Final payments are due 65 days prior to trip. Checks preferred or credit cards.

Cancellation Fee and Refunds     All cancellations must be in writing.  Cancellations 91 days or more prior to the trip-complete refund of deposit minus a $50 cancellation fee.  For any cancellations within 90 days of departure- no refund. No refund on unused portions of the trip. After airline tickets are issued, airline cancellations are per the airline’s policy. Travel insurance is highly recommended.
