Come join us on this trip that is right after our Club Singles Weekend Getaway in New York over the Labor Day long weekend and it is for those of you who don’t need first class accommodations to enjoy all the same sights you can see on a first class trip.
Leaving from “The Big Apple”, (and after our long weekend Club Singles in New York if you are on that trip), we venture northwest through the Pocono Mountains to upstate New York.  Crossing the border to the Canadian side of the Niagara River, we spend two nights in beautiful Niagara Falls. Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Niagara Falls, and board the Maid of the Mist for a thrilling boat ride to view the thundering waterfalls from river level. During your free time in Niagara Falls, perhaps visit the Butterfly Conservatory, Great Gorge Adventure, or Botanical Gardens, or ride up the aerial cable car.
 Next, travel southeast through the Appalachian Mountains to the City of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia. Explore the birthplace of American independence on your sightseeing tour before moving on to the U.S. capital, Washington DC. Washington DC is a sightseeing treasure-trove, and your tour highlights the well-known sights, such as Arlington National Cemetery and the Korean and Vietnam War Memorials. Your vacation ends with free time to explore Washington DC on your own before you head back to New York City.

Day 1, Wed. Sept 9 New York City
Fly from your hometown into New York City (or join from our Club Singles Weekend Getaway in New York over the long Labor Day weekend). Welcome to “The Big Apple!” Enjoy time at leisure to relax or to do some independent exploring. Your tour director is on hand this evening to answer any questions.
Day 2, Thurs. Sept 10
New York City-Corning-Niagara Falls
This morning we depart Manhattan, heading northwest across New Jersey, through the Pocono Mountains and into upstate New York, arriving in Corning at midday.
Late this afternoon, cross the border at Rainbow Bridge and proceed to the Canadian side of the Niagara River in the province of Ontario where we
spend the next two nights in beautiful Niagara Falls.
 Day 3, Fri. Sept 11 Niagara Falls
On this morning’s sightseeing tour, behold the spectacular falls from Table Rock. Then, board the Maid of the Mistfor amazing close-ups of the falls.
Your afternoon is free, so why not hop aboard the “People Mover” (local transport) and visit attractions such as the Butterfly Conservatory, Great Gorge Adventure, Botanical Gardens, and Niagara Parks Greenhouse, or ride the aerial cable car. Tonight, join our optional fun-filled Canadian musical. This entertaining evening includes a 5-course dinner served family style.
NOTE: The operation of the Maid of the Mist cruise is subject to favorable weather and/or river conditions. Usually, favorable conditions exist from mid-May to late-October. When weather is unfavorable, a walking tour through the scenic tunnels will be substituted.
 Day 4, Sat. Sept 12 Niagara Falls-Philadelphia
Today we head southeast through the Appalachian Mountains and the Susquehanna River Valley on our way to the handsome city of Philadelphia for an overnight stay.
Day 5, Sun. Sept 13
The “City of Brotherly Love” is also the birthplace of American Independence and is steeped in history. Our morning orientation tour focuses on the city’s historic landmarks.
Then, on to the U.S. capital and seat of government, Washington DC, for a 2-night stay. Later, join the optional outing, featuring dinner followed by a tour of the city’s most famous memorials.
Day 6, Mon. Sept 14 Washington DC Area
 The nation’s capital is a sightseeing treasure-trove, and your half-day tour with a local guide features Arlington National Cemetery, the Korean and Vietnam War Veterans Memorials
, and other well-known sights. Also stop for photos at the White House
and Capitol Hill.
Your afternoon is free to make the most of your time to see the sights you want to see in Washington. Your tour director will also suggest independent activities for exploring this fascinating city.
Day 7, Tues. Sept 15 Washington DC Area-New York
This morning, drive to Newark International Airport for guests with homebound flights. Please schedule flights after 5:30 pm. The trip ends in Manhattan in the late afternoon. Did you want to stay 2 nights more in NYC?

These two post nights include a city tour with a local expert to Times Square, Greenwich Village, Wall Street, and Chinatown. Host services will be available to assist you with information for further optional excursions, independent exploration and dining. An airport transfer is included to Kennedy, LaGuardia, or Newark. We’ll need your air schedules.
For a prenight in New York –double occupancy $181; single $339.

Airfare is additional and you’ll need to fly into New York & out of Newark, New Jersey unless taking the 2 post nights, then you can fly out of any New York airport. We can assist you with flights.
Arrival Transfers to the hotel via taxi or shuttle service. $19 from JFK or Newark airports; $17 from LaGuardia airport.
A Departure Transfer for the main trip is out of New Jersey’s Newark airport ONLY & free-make flights after 5:30pm.
If staying for the 2 post nights in New York, airport transfers are free to all 3 airports- JFK, La Guardia, and Newark.
Breakfast Package-if you’d like to purchase breakfasts for main trip only-$83 per person- (4 full & 2 deluxe continental).
Travel/Trip Cancellation insurance: $119.00 +$30. Travel insurance is highly recommended. Get Travel Protection Plus for only an additional $30. This additional benefit allows you to cancel your vacation up to 24 hours (or the prior business day, whichever is farther out) before your scheduled departure for any reason not covered by the travel protection plans provisions. With this Protection Plus policy you will be reimbursed for the cancellation penalties with travel vouchers to be used within a
year with the tour operator. You must purchase with your deposit if you want a waiver for pre-existing conditions and Travel Protection Plus. Insurance is not refundable. Your airfare is not covered under this policy.
Passports- For U.S. citizens a valid passport is required for travel to Canada. Non-U.S. citizens please check with your consulate regarding correct official paperwork needed for entry into Canada.
Price does not include items of a personal nature, airfare, meals, tips to drivers/guides, optional excursions, phone calls, arrival transfer, etc.
This is a Special Trip Offering: This trip is in response to a lot of our singles asking us to do a few great trips open to everyone, not just singles. This trip is open to anyone and is also for the single who doesn’t necessarily need to go on an ‘all singles’ trip but wants even more varieties of trips that they can travel on with a few other singles and still get a great trip and travel experience. So we have accommodated those requests in a few of our trips. Anyone and everyone who enjoys meeting lots of nice, friendly people of all ages, married or single are welcome! Hope you can join us!
Fine Print – Washington DC & Niagara Falls, September 9-15, 2009
Your payment for a reservation on this trip constitutes consent and acknowledgement of all the provisions in this Fine Print listed below and in the Singles Travel Company General Terms and Conditions. Please make sure you read both of these important pieces of information and call us with any questions.
Payments: A non-refundable deposit of $250.00 is due with your reservation and your insurance is due now also if you want to purchase it. Full and final payments are due 60 days prior to departure date. Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express) and /or checks (payable to Travel Advisors) are accepted.
Cancellation Fees and Refunds All cancellations must be in writing. Regardless of when you cancel there will be a charge from Singles Travel Company of $50. Deposit of $250 and insurance is non-refundable. Cancellation Fees as follows:
60-22 days prior to commencement of services 50% of total price
21-1 days prior to commencement of services 100% of total price
On day of departure and later 100% of total price
No refunds on unused portions of the tour. A fee of $30 per transaction may be charged for any alteration or revision made to a reservation. Cancellation fees also apply to additional accommodations reserved prior to and after the tour booked with the tour operator of the trip. After airline tickets are issued, airline cancellations are per the airline’s policy/ and or the tour operator if purchased through the tour operator.
Travel Insurance is highly recommended.
