Day 1 Depart USA/Canada-arrive Rome, Italy
Depart from your hometown for your overnight Trans-Atlantic flight to Rome, Italy!
Day 2 Welcome to Rome!
Check in today and then depending on your arrival time you can start exploring this vibrant city! Get to know your new travel companions and tour manager over dinner. (D)
Day 3 Rome
Today we visit the Pantheon, Piazza Venezia and Piazza Navona. Honor tradition at the Trevi Fountain and throw a coin in the fountain’s waters (it’s meant to improve your chances of returning to Rome!). See Michelangelo’s masterpiece in the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Bascilica in Vatican City.
In your free time absorb the atmosphere as vespas flash past time worn monuments that are surrounded by fountains, pizzerias, cafes and bars. Live the local lifestyle by indulging in a long lunch on a piazza or knock back a shot of espresso at the bar. Maybe hang out with your new friends at the Spanish Steps, sit back and people-watch. (B)
Day 4 Tuscany-Florence
Spend the morning in San Gimignano, the stunning hill-top town that is often dubbed “medieval Manhattan”. Dotted with ancient towers, San Gimignano serves up sweeping views over the region’s rolling hills. Explore the village and pick up some local specialties like wild-boar salami or pecorino cheese. Our next stop is Florence! (B)
Day 5 Florence
The scene-stealing Duomo cathedral rises above the city centre, which serves up frescoes, markets and priceless art. See the Duomo, Bascilica Santa Croce, Giotto’s Bell Tower, the Baptistry and Piazza della Signoria. See a skillful demonstration of Florentine leather making with the group and understand this region’s traditional art.
Then there’s free time to head off into the city. Get inspired at the Uffizi Gallery and its famous painting, wander along the pretty Ponte Vecchio for some boutique shopping or rummage through the city’s local markets. With bargains and bustle, they are a great place to hang out, so grab a gelato and enjoy this gorgeous city.
Tonight, there’s an optional group dinner - an authentic Tuscan feast. Try regional dishes in the pretty Tuscan country setting and kick back Tuscan style with a glass of Chianti wine. (B)
Day 6 Florence to Italian Riviera -Livorno
Today, journey to Pisa and see its most famous monument, the Leaning Tower. Later, it’s onto the UNESCO World Heritage site of Cinque Terre, where colourful coastal villages dot the ragged cliffs and old walled vineyards reach the water’s edge. As we head along the coast, take in the beauty and watch the locals fishing along the shore. (B)
Day 7 Livorno-Italian Riviera to French Riviera
Follow the beautiful sapphire waters past the movie-star glamour of Cannes (famous for its annual film festival), to sunny Nice. (BD)
Day 8 France-French Riviera
In your free time on the French Riviera live a bit of the lifestyle with a visit to the local markets. Try out the
regions produce like lavender honey, aioli (garlic mayonnaise) and mouth-watering rosé wine. Window shop the chic boutiques or choose a beach and catch some sun!
Tonight get a taste of the high life in Monaco, the glamorous principality packed into just 1.92kms and home of
the Formula 1. Indulge in a bit of glitz with the group by opting for a typically French 4-course meal just a few doors down from the Royal Palace. Get the inside story on the royal family and their place of residence from your tour manager, then try your luck at a casino later on. (B)
Day 9 French Riviera to Avignon
Drop by stunning Aix-en-Provence for lunch and check out the town’s lively central area, busy with cafes, fountains and people. A night in Avignon means you’ll get a real taste of the Provencal lifestyle and look into the town’s Roman heritage. Wander through the cobbled streets or relax with a glass of pastis (aniseed liqueur) within the city’s walls. Learn about the city’s past as a spiritual superpower when you see the impressive Papal Palace. (B)
Day 10 Avignon to Barcelona, Spain
Unwind on the coach and take in the rustic beauty of Provence, known for its pretty landscapes of lavender, sunflowers and wild herbs. Next up: dynamic Barcelona. A sizzling, festive capital any night of the week, Barcelona is all about action. In Spain fiesta time starts late, so settle in at one of Barcelona’s many outdoor squares to enjoy a glass of sangria before a fun night out exploring the city’s nightlife with your new friends. (BD)
Day 11 Barcelona
You’ll see why the city sizzles on our included sightseeing tour with its mix of food, fiesta, fashion and fun. See Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia and the 1992 Olympic Games complex. Walk through the Gothic Quarter and La Rambla district. Then there’s free time to discover more of Barcelona’s creative core.
Tonight’s optional dinner/show gives you a chance to get into the local flavours with a Flamenco dance performance and some Sangria. Afterwards, get the low down on Barcelona’s hottest spots! (B)
Day 12 Barcelona to Madrid
Heading towards the coast, we roll on to the baroque city of Zaragoza, set on the banks of the Rio Ebro. Check out the town’s fantastic cathedral, with its colourfully tiled cupolas and towers. For lunch, you could grab a table in the casco (old town), order a traditional Spanish tortilla and take in the unique, historic architecture and atmosphere. (BD)
Day 13 Madrid
This morning, get a look at Madrids bustling centre, complete with the Gran Via, the Plaza de Espana and Puerta del Sol. Then, visit the largest palace in Europe and experience the royal lifestyle as our expert shows you through the Royal Palace’s lavish rooms. (If there’s a state function happening we’ll visit the world-famous Prado Museum.)
Relax with an evening siesta and head out with the group later for an optional traditional Spanish tapas dinner (a feast of plate sized nibbles) in the heart of the city, right on the famous Plaça Mayor. This city never sleeps, so get some pointers on the city’s hot spots, head to a little wine bar or check out some traditional salsa. (B)
Day 14 Madrid
The tour ends after breakfast and it’s time to say farewell to your new friends. (B)

Travel Insurance- $169.00.
Pay for your travel insurance with your deposit & you receive “Any-Reason” insurance (in the form of travel certificates to be used within 2 years with our tour operator) allowing you to cancel for any reason up to 48 hours prior to your trip. Within 48 hours-reason must be a medical issue and other approved reasons. Insurance is highly recommended. Insurance is non refundable and does not cover air arrangements not made by our tour operator.
Airfare is additional. We can help or you can check online with the different airlines. Fares are based on availability at time of booking. You fly into Rome (FCO) and out Madrid (MAD).

Transfers are additional for Rome at $33. They are not included in Madrid but you can share a taxi maybe with others from the group.

Your payment for a reservation on this trip constitutes consent and acknowledgement of all the provisions in this Fine Print listed below and in the Singles Travel Company General Terms and Conditions. Please make sure you read both of these important pieces of information and call us with any questions.
A non-refundable deposit of $200.00 (plus travel insurance if you want it) is due with your reservation.
Final payment is due 60 days prior to departure date. Credit cards (Visa or MasterCard) or checks are accepted.
Cancellation Fees and Refunds All cancellations must be in writing. Cancellation Fees as follows: Regardless of when you cancel, there will be a charge from Singles Travel Company of $50 applied to your credit card plus the following cancellation fees: Insurance is non-refundable.

When the percentage cancellation fee is less than the tour deposit, the cancellation fee will equal loss of the deposit. No refunds on unused portions of the tour. A fee of $30 per transaction may be charged for any alteration or revision made to a reservation. Cancellation fees also apply to additional accommodations reserved prior to and after the tour booked with the tour operator of the trip. Due to air carrier guidelines, you may be charged up to a $200 penalty if you cancel your air booked with the tour operator within 120 days of departure. After airline tickets are issued, airline cancellations are per the airline’s policy/ and or the tour operator if purchased through the tour operator and may be non-refundable, changeable with a fee + any higher ticket price.
